Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is a 9-day event starting on January 20 and ending on January 28. Kala Ghoda Arts Festival started in 1999, and since then it has become the largest multicultural festival in Mumbai. This festival moved to a different rhythm, calling on poets, painters, dancers, artists, musicians, and craftsmen to unite as a community and reach out to a city thirsty for cultural events. Kala Ghoda Arts Festival (KGAF), Asia’s largest multi-disciplinary street art festival, is all set to return for its 24th edition, transforming the heart of Mumbai into a vibrant hub of arts, crafts, and creativity from January 20 to January 28, 2024. Udaan promises Organized by the Kala Ghoda Association, this wonderful annual event aims to be a major celebration of diverse artistic expressions and cultural heritage. Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2024 will also be a part of the much-awaited Mumbai Festival 2024 – a cultural initiative by the Maharashtra government.
With more than 300 programs across 14 sectors or verticals, the festival brings together more than 25 venues in the region to bring the edition to life. For 24 years, the festival has become an annual tradition in the calendars of art lovers, performers, and curious minds who can immerse themselves in a rich array of artistic expressions. The festival’s vertical sectors include visual arts, dance, music, theatre, literature, heritage walking, urban design and architecture, and stand-up, among others.

How You Can Reach This Iconic Art Festival In Mumbai
There are multiple ways to reach the Kala Ghoda festival. You can go by taxi or the best buses. The two major railway stations near the festival are Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus or CSMT and Churchgate Station. From there, you can either take a bus, a taxi, or even walk.
In addition to the main show at Kala Ghoda, parts of the festival will also take place at up to 25 venues hosting up to 300 events.

- The main art fair of the year is the Jehangir Art Gallery, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya features specially curated Indian art and antiquities, and the Horniman Circle Garden features outdoor installations and sculptures.
- The National Gallery of Modern Art’s amphitheater hosts exciting theatrical performances, dance events, and concerts outside. A wide range of cultural events are expected to be spectacular against the backdrop of the majestic building of Elphinstone College.
- There will be presentations, film screenings, and workshops at Kumaraswamy Hall. Expect to be amazed by random street artists, musicians, and dancers performing as you walk around.

Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is free for all attendees. There is no entry fee for any of the events. Art and culture lovers can immerse themselves in the festival with free entry to multiple venues at Kala Ghoda in Mumbai from 10 am to 10 pm during the eight days.
