The Integrated Odisha State Scholarship Portal has been launched by the Government of Odisha on scholarship.odisha.og.in. Government of Odisha The portal is for automation, streamlined, and effective management of scholarship schemes. About 21 scholarship schemes from 6 major departments were brought under one platform.
All eligible students can log in through the Odisha State Scholarship Portal. Around 11 lahks+ beneficiaries of Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, and Educationally Backward Classes benefit from this service.

SHORT OPENING OF PORTAL FOR 2022-23_POST AND PRE MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
OSSP will reopen for the year 2022-23 on the date. 05.07.2023 for post-matric & Pre-matric (ST, SC, OBC, EBC) scholarship schemes. The portal will only reopen for registered students whose applications were previously returned for some reason; New registration will not be allowed. All students and institutions are required to submit/forward AADHAAR classified applications to the next level within the stipulated period.
The last date for re-application/approval/sanction at student/institution/DWO level (for ST, SC, OBC/SEBC, and EBC students) for the year 2022-23, is until the date. 15.07.2023, and 20.07.2023 respectively for the Post-Math Scholarship Scheme and up to the date 25.07.2023 and 31.07.2023 for the Pre-Mathematics Scholarship Scheme.

A large section of Odisha’s potential workforce is unemployed with a literacy rate of 76.04% and the number of dropouts failing to enroll or complete any form of higher education is increasing. According to a report by MHRD, poverty or economic problems are major reasons for students or students leaving school or college. Apart from financial constraints, lack of awareness about the educational scholarship, its accessibility, and its application process are also some of the major factors in increasing dropout numbers in the state.
- The Odisha State Scholarship Portal envisages bridging the gap between scholarship providers and scholarship seekers.
- This will encourage more students to stay in the system. 6 major departments of the state have stepped into this common platform for duplication and leak-free scholarship distribution.
- The portal validates students’ applications online based on Aadhaar authentication. It is a one-stop database for scholarships and provides a transparent dashboard for the institute and department to check the status of applications.
- Through this portal, scholarship money can be disbursed directly into the bank accounts of selected students.

The new integrated Odisha State Scholarship Portal will reduce the distance between Govt. Departments and prospective students. All interested students can apply for the scholarship from their homes within a stipulated time frame. As this portal has been linked to the state treasury, scholarship money for students can now be deposited directly into registered bank accounts.

Given below is the stepwise description of the application process. To apply for the scholarship, the eligible students need to follow the steps given below: –

- Next, a page will open on your screen.
- If you are a new user, click on the registration link on the portal. Existing users can click on the login button.
- Enter the Aadhaar number and proceed.
- Check your registered mobile or email to get the user ID and password.
