What is the scheme of the Atal Tunnel?
It will be the second Atal tunnel scheme from Manali to Leh. The scheme was approved only in 2005. 4000 crore has been approved for this. A total of 8.8 km has been completed and 80 percent of the work has been completed. This was said to be the highest tunnel in the world.

सहभागी भूजल प्रबंधन के लिए संस्थागत ढांचे को मजबूत करने के मुख्य उद्देश्य के साथ अटल जल फ्रेमवर्क और सात राज्यों में स्थायी भूजल संसाधन प्रबंधन के लिए सामुदायिक स्तर पर व्यवहार परिवर्तन को बढ़ावा देना। गुजरात, हरियाणा, कर्नाटक, मध्य प्रदेश, महाराष्ट्र, राजस्थान और उत्तर प्रदेश में बनी इस योजना के क्रियान्वयन से इन राज्यों के 78 जिलों की लगभग 8350 ग्राम पंचायतों को लाभ होने की उम्मीद है। अटल जल मांग पक्ष प्रबंधन पर मुख्य जोर देने के साथ पंचायत केंद्रित भूजल प्रबंधन और व्यवहार परिवर्तन को बढ़ावा देगा।
5 साल (2020-21 से 2024-25) की अवधि में लागू किए जाने वाले 6,000 करोड़ रुपये के कुल परिव्यय में से 50 प्रतिशत विश्व बैंक ऋण के रूप में होगा और केंद्र सरकार द्वारा चुकाया जाएगा। शेष 50 प्रतिशत का भुगतान नियमित बजटीय सहायता के साथ केंद्रीय सहायता के माध्यम से किया जाएगा। विश्व बैंक ऋण और केंद्रीय सहायता का संपूर्ण घटक राज्यों को अनुदान के रूप में दिया जाएगा।
