Abhaya Hastham (Pension and Insurance Scheme)
The government has succeeded in comprehensively eradicating poverty in rural and urban areas through the Abhaya Hatham programme. As part of the program, self-help groups are formed to develop, promote, and empower women.

These problems are greater for women because they generally tend to spend disposable income on their children rather than saving for old age. From this standpoint, there was a need for some initiatives that would provide them with social security and income during their old age.
More than 16 lakh applications have been received as of the last date
As of the last date, 16,90,278 applications had been submitted, especially regarding the six guarantees pledged by the Congress party in the recent Assembly elections. Officials in villages and towns also received requests for ration cards and othe necessities.
After the conclusion of the program on January 6, the state government started the process of uploading applications online, with a deadline of January 17.

Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme 2024: Apply Online before Last Date
Indiramma Indlu Housing was part of the Congress party’s election manifesto. Under this scheme, the government will provide a plot of land and Rs 5 lakh for the construction of houses. Yuva Vikasam Scheme Telangana 2024
Yuva Vikasam Telangana scheme will be introduced soon to encourage the youth of Telangana to higher education. The Congress party ensures the establishment of Telangana international schools in every mandal. Students will receive appropriate educational support. Students selected under the Yuva Vikasam Scheme will get a Vidya Bharosa Card. Through this card, students will get Rs. 5,00,000 as financial assistance for their education. This scholarship amount will be provided to students of Telangana International Schools. Students need to wait to implement these charts. This will happen only when the Congress party wins the elections. Otherwise, no one will be able to get the funds for his education. Andhra Pradesh YSR Cheyutha Scheme
The “YSR Cheyutha” scheme is a social empowerment scheme by the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Department of the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to women belonging to BC, SC, ST, and minority communities between the ages of 45 and 60 years (excluding women beneficiaries already covered under YSR Pension Kanuka) with a financial sum of INR 75,000 in four phases (in Four years) through various social welfare institutions.
This will create access to improved livelihood opportunities, income generation, and wealth creation at the household level, on a sustainable basis leading to better standards of living. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh.
Gruha Jyothi Scheme
The Karnataka government launched the Gruha Jyothi scheme on August 5, 2023. It was one of the five poll guarantee schemes promised by the Congress party during the 2023 Karnataka Assembly elections. The scheme provides up to 200 units of free electricity to 2.14 lakh crore eligible consumers in the state.

Mahalakshmi Scheme
The Mahalakshmi Scheme was announced in the Congress party’s election manifesto on September 18, 2023. After coming to power in Telangana, the government officially launched the scheme. Under this scheme, women of the state are entitled to monthly financial assistance of up to Rs 2,500. So that they can be empowered and improve their financial security. Under this scheme, around 1.5 crore women will benefit.
Other than monthly financial assistance, women are also entitled to free travel on state-run buses. LPG cylinder will also be made available at Rs 500. With the implementation of the scheme, the standard of living of the beneficiaries will also be improved. Otherwise, women will also become self-reliant. All women above 18 years of age will benefit from this scheme.
Rythu Bharosa Kendras of Andhra Pradesh
The Telangana Rythu Bharosa scheme was implemented after the Congress party won in Telangana. The Telangana Rythu Bharosa scheme aims to provide financial assistance to farmers to help them. As per the scheme, farmers will get Rs. 15,000 per acre annually. Tenant farmers are those who rent land for cultivation and will receive Rs. 15000 annually. The farm workers will get Rs. 12,000 per annum and there will be Rs. 500 bonus added to financial aid to rice farmers.
The main objective of the Telangana Rythu Bharosa Scheme is to provide financial assistance to all types of farmers to support them.
