Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana: The Punjab government, Ayushman Bharat Sarbat, launched a farmer’s health insurance scheme. Under this scheme, every farmer has entitled to non-cash health insurance coverage of Rs. 5 lahks per household per year.
People can benefit from non-monetary and paper therapy in government and private hospitals. All farmers who sold their products in 2018 and 2019 can benefit from a free health treatment scheme.

Punjab AB Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana 2023
Ayushman Bharat – Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana (AB-MMSBY), which was launched on 20 August 2019 is the flagship government health insurance scheme for beneficiaries from Punjab. AB-MMSBY will provide financial protection to 65% of the population of Punjab. It is a cashless benefit-based health insurance cover of Rs. 5 lakh per family per annum. Under this scheme, cashless and paperless treatment is available in government and empanelled Private hospitals.
The premium cost of 14.64 lakh SECC beneficiary families is borne by the central government. and state government. At a ratio of 60:40. The cost of the insurance premium for the remaining beneficiary families of 20.54 thousand is borne by the State (Treasury and Departments).
Basic features of AB-MMSBY
- Cashless health insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakh per family per annum.
- Cashless secondary care and tertiary care treatment (1579 packages) in public and private hospitals in all states of India.
- 187 packages are intended for government hospitals.
- Entitlement-based system.
- Pre-existing illnesses are covered and the treatment package includes 3 days before hospitalization and 15 days after hospitalization.
- Beneficiaries can benefit from health services in private and government hospitals that have been activated in all states of India where this scheme is being implemented.
Already registered farmers should contact the Market Committee offices for the following purposes:

- Information about private hospitals
