The Rajasthan government has launched the “Rajasthan Palanhar Yojana” to care for orphans and destitute children in the state, under this scheme the government will not be supported to raise, educate, etc, all orphaned children.

Rajasthan Palanhar Scheme Details 2023
The goal of Rajasthan in the Palanhar of Yojana is to give responsibility to the needy children in the state whose fathers no longer care for them, just as children are like their parents. So these children do not miss their parents. The parenting scheme is not institutionalized in this scheme.
This is done by making the person interested in raising children in the family of the orphans’ relatives/acquaintances. Rs 500 per month for children up to 5 years old by the government to Palanhar. After admission to the school, until the age of 18, a grant of Rs. 1,000 is provided every month.

Rajasthan Palanhar Yojana Benefits
The benefits of the Palanhar Yojana are as follows:
- Rs. 500 to care for orphans under the Palanhar scheme up to the age of five.
- From admission to school until the age of 18, 1000 rupees will be offered every month.
- Also, under Rajasthan Palanhar Yojana, the government provides 2000 rupees each year for orphaned children for basic work like shoes, jackets, clothes, etc.
Children Eligible for the Rajasthan Palanhar scheme
The list of eligible children for the Palanhar Yojana is as follows:
- Orphaned children
- Parent-children with the death penalty/life imprisonment through judicial proceedings
- Maximum of 3 children from the mother
- The widow’s child was reunited
- Children with HIV/AIDS parents
- Children of parents with leprosy
- Children with disabled parents
- Child of a divorced/abandoned woman
Eligibility for the Palanhar Yojna

योजना के उद्देश्य
अनाथ बच्चों के पालन-पोषण, शिक्षा आदि की व्यवस्था संस्थागत नहीं की जाकर समाज के भीतर ही बालक-बालिकाओं के निकटतम रिश्तेदार/परिचित व्यक्ति के परिवार में करने के लिए इच्छुक व्यक्ति को पालनहार बनाकर राज्य की ओर से पारिवारिक माहौल में शिक्षा, भोजन, वस्त्र एवं अन्य आवश्यक सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराना है। इस तरह राज्य सरकार द्वारा चलाई जा रही यह योजना पूरे भारत में अनूठी है।
योजना के लिए पात्रता और देय लाभ
दिनांक 08.02.2005 से क्रियान्वित यह योजना प्रारम्भ में अनुसूचित जाति के अनाथों के लिये संचालित थी, जिसमें समय-समय पर संशोधन कर निम्न श्रेणियों को भी जोड़ा गया है:-
- अनाथ बच्चे
- न्यायिक प्रक्रिया द्वारा मृत्युदंड/आजीवन कारावास की सजा पाए माता-पिता के बच्चे
- निराश्रित पेंशन के लिए पात्र विधवा माता के अधिकतम तीन बच्चे
- एक संबंधित मां के तीन बच्चों तक
- पुनर्विवाहित विधवा माता की संतान
- एड्स प्रभावित माता-पिता के बच्चे
- कुष्ठ रोग से पीड़ित माता-पिता के बच्चे
- विकलांग माता-पिता का बच्चा
- तलाकशुदा/तलाकशुदा महिला की संतान
पालनहार योजना के तहत ऐसे अनाथ बच्चों के पालन-पोषण, शिक्षा आदि के लिए पालक माता-पिता को अनुदान उपलब्ध कराया जाता है। पालक परिवार की वार्षिक आय 1.20 लाख रुपये से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए।
ऐसे अनाथों को 2 वर्ष की आयु में आंगनबाड़ी केन्द्र तथा 6 वर्ष की आयु में विद्यालय भेजना अनिवार्य है।
प्रत्येक अनाथ बच्चे के लिए, पालक परिवार को 5 वर्ष की आयु तक के बच्चे के लिए 500 रुपये प्रति माह की दर से और बच्चे के 18 वर्ष की आयु पूरी करने के बाद 1000 रुपये प्रति माह की दर से अनुदान प्रदान किया जाता है।
