CRCS Sahara Refund Portal (सहारा रिफंड पोर्टल) is an online platform designed to process refunds to depositors of the four Sahara Group Cooperative Societies as per the directives of the Honorable Supreme Court dated 29th March 2023 that Rs 5,000 crore will be transferred from the “Sahara-SEBI Refund Account” to the Central Registrar of Co-operative Societies (CRCS) for disbursement against the legitimate dues of the real depositors of the Sahara Group of Co-operative Societies.

To file a claim, the deposited Aadhaar must be linked to their mobile phone numbers and bank accounts. They will have to provide the receipt details as well. Depositors will have to download a form, fill it out, and re-upload it to the portal for further refund processing. What is the Sahara Refund Portal

As part of these initiatives and to address the grievances or complaints of real members/depositors of Sahara Group of Co-operative Societies for the payment of their lawful deposits, an application was made by the Ministry of Cooperation in the Honorable Supreme Court of India, for which the Honorable Supreme Court issued its order dated 29.03.2023 directing that Rs. 5,000 crores shall be transferred from the “Sahara-SEBI Refund Account“, to the Central Registrar of Co-operative Societies (CRCS) for disbursement against the legitimate dues of the genuine/real depositors of the Sahara Group of Co-operative Societies most transparently and appropriately. Identify and provide proof of their identity and deposits and prove their claims and deposit them directly into their bank account.

Accordingly, this portal has been developed to provide legitimate claims by the depositors of four cooperative societies, namely:

1. Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Ltd.
2. Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Ltd.
3. Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Ltd.
4. Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd.

Resubmission details:

• We are currently accepting claim resubmissions totaling up to INR 19,999.
• Other eligible claim dates will be announced soon.

Resubmitted claims are processed within 45 business days.

CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal Highlights

The portal is easy to use, efficient, and transparent and the entire process is digital. The portal can be accessed through the Ministry of Cooperation website https://cooperation.gov.in. Genuine depositors of these associations can login into the portal and submit their claims by filling out the online application form available on the portal and uploading the required documents.

Depositors are required to ensure that they have a mobile phone number and a bank account associated with Aadhar as well as documents required as proof of their claim and deposits. The application will be verified by the Sahara Group of Cooperative Societies within 30 days of submission. The decision will be communicated via SMS/Online Portal within another 15 days i.e. within 45 days of submitting the online claim.

Depositors are required to submit all claims relating to all four associations on the same claim application form. Only claims filed online through the portal will be considered, and there is no fee for filing a claim. The Resubmission Portal processes resubmitted claims within 45 business days of resubmitting the claim online. Applicants are asked to resubmit all claims with deficiencies for all four associations on the resubmission application form. Only claims resubmitted online through the portal will be considered.
