Uttar Pradesh FPO Shakti Portal Details
CM launched the portal as part of the Kisan Kalyan mission at an event in Gorakhpur. The portal focused on FPO will bring farmers, producer groups, merchants, agriculture, and other departments allied to the UP government on one platform. UP State currently has 576 FPOs with around 2.15 farmers. Of these, 471 FPOs registered themselves on the UP FPO Shakti portal. The farmer will also get information related to specific topics about a village/block/district or state. The information will be delivered through texts, emails, or audio/video in a language one understands.
The FPO Shakti portal is unique in the country, a welcome move that would greatly accelerate progress towards better productivity and income, food security, and a higher quality of life for small-scale producers, especially women.
